We are hiring a generative artist and technologist to build the image and video systems that bring brand worlds to life.

At Little Plains, generative work does not end at a finished image. It lives in the workflows, prompts, and node logic a client can keep running long after handoff.

You read the brand, build the system, and make sure it holds up without you.

‍

Why This Role Exists

Generative tools have made it easy to produce images that look finished. Producing imagery that feels unmistakably like one brand, again and again, is still hard. That gap is where this role operates.

The work asks for two things at once: the creative sensibility to read a brand and know what its visual world should feel like, and the technical depth to build the systems that produce it at scale.

One thing sets this work apart: every Flora build is organized, documented, and structured so the client can keep generating and iterating on their own after handoff. That expectation applies from day one.

About Little Plains

Little Plains is a brand and product studio working mostly with early-stage companies, from pre-launch through Series A. We partner with founders and small senior teams who are building new products and categories under real constraints.

We work as an embedded creative partner, building brand, product, and go-to-market work into systems that scale as companies grow. Our clients span healthcare, biotech, SaaS, and consumer products.

What You Will Do

Day to day, you will:

  • Work with the brand and web teams to define visual direction, asset scope, and technical specs before any generation begins
  • Translate brand direction into generation logic: what the world should feel like before the first node is built
  • Own the full Flora build, from rough exploratory generation through a production-ready, legible workflow
  • Engineer nodes and prompts, text-based and structural, that reliably produce on-brand image and video output
  • Evaluate and combine multiple generation models, choosing the right tool for each part of the output
  • Present exploratory work to the team and client early, then iterate by adjusting the workflow, not just regenerating images
  • Communicate clearly what a workflow can and cannot do, so the team and client can make informed decisions
  • Document final workflows so someone outside the project can pick them up, and carry proven techniques into future projects
  • Build live prototypes and early-stage sites with tools like Cursor and Codex, taking brand assets to a real URL faster than a Figma-to-dev handoff allows
  • Help the motion and interactive team ship code-based work: interactive modules, animated components, and hybrid AI-plus-After Effects pipelines
  • Scout emerging tools, stay plugged into the Flora partner ecosystem, and lead workshops that help designers and motion artists actually use what you find

How We Work

Creative direction drives technical decisions, not the other way around. Projects move fast: we generate early and refine continuously, with brand, motion, digital, and the client in the loop throughout.

Handoff is part of the work. Every workflow should be ready for someone else to pick up and run.

The tools will keep changing. Judgment about what to adopt matters more than fluency in any one of them.

The Bar for Craft

This role requires work that is beautiful and repeatable. A strong image matters less than the system that keeps producing strong images on brand.

Workflows should be legible to someone who was never in the room. Points of view on models and tools should be clear and well-reasoned, not a list of everything new. Generative work matters when a client can keep using it.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 years experience in generative image and video, creative technology, or a related role
  • Hands-on experience building node-based generative workflows, ideally in Flora
  • Strong prompt engineering across multiple image and video models, and a clear point of view on when to use which
  • The ability to read a brand and translate it into a visual world, not just a set of outputs
  • Front-end fluency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor and Codex
  • Adobe Creative Suite fluency, including After Effects and Premiere, plus Figma
  • Comfort presenting work early, taking feedback, and explaining what a system can and cannot do
  • A habit of sharing what you learn and helping others get comfortable with new tools

What to Submit

  • Resume or LinkedIn profile
  • A portfolio of generative image and video work
  • Examples of workflows, prototypes, or tools you have built, with a note on your role in each
  • A short note on the kinds of brand worlds you want to build next

If you want to build generative systems that make brands feel like themselves, and keep working after you hand them off, let's talk.
