DearLegal is the modern legal platform built to make justice accessible. It connects people seeking help with attorneys who can deliver it, and finances the path in between. The site offers a calm, intelligent system that turns complexity into confidence.

A life raft for a system built to overwhelm you.

For most people, the legal world feels like a maze: expensive, opaque, and intimidating.

Plaintiffs face confusing paperwork and delayed payments. Law firms drown in admin, chasing leads through PDFs and faxes. Investors, meanwhile, can’t easily access the $10 billion litigation-finance market.

Connect instantly to a legal team.

DearLegal set out to modernize the legal pipeline for everyone involved. One platform connects plaintiffs, attorneys, and financiers, combining matching, workflow automation, and pre-settlement funding. Our challenge was to rebrand three connected products, DearLegal, DearAttorney, and Legionar, into one coherent system.

Dispelling the legal headache of paperwork for all.

For plaintiffs: Legal help made easy. For attorneys: Streamlined leads and tools to scale. For financiers: Alternative investments you can count on.

Each audience gets clarity in its own voice, all united by one promise: justice made accessible.

Recognizable tabs of a legal brief.

We built a tactile, skeuomorphic design language rooted in associatively positive familiar objects from the world of legal: file folders, embossed tabs, and soft paper grain. Each element was meant to feel physical, to help convey a sense of something relatable. Bevels, shadows, and textures translate the bureaucracy of paperwork into something calm and navigable.

Then we built a system of color for the three types of DearLegal users; blue signals empathy for plaintiffs, green signals trust for attorneys, and red signals rigor for financiers.

A promise across trusted cardstock.
Our creative core: the humble folder.
Clean design to reflect a sense legal readiness.

A custom isometric illustration style explains complex legal topics with clarity. Drawn on a 30-degree grid using only vertical and diagonal lines, it turns case flow, funding ladders, and document stacks into clean, dimensional scenes. It’s legal information made visual and reassuring.

Illustrative assets for any type of claim.
Simplicity, but structural, and balanced.
A legal crutch in the form of a software.
Red, for the rigor and conviction required in cases.

The wordmark uses GT Super for confidence and elegance, paired with Tiempos headlines and Diatype body text for readable authority. A single horizontal bar crowns the mark, a subtle nod to “the bar” and a visual metaphor for stability.

DearLegal's elegance in motion.
A design that simplifies a non-simple problem.
Our selected typography.
Look up anything, easily, even a lawyer.

We built distinct but connected voices for each side of the marketplace.

For plaintiffs, the tone is empathetic, friendly, and warm, making the law feel human.

For attorneys it's professional, direct, and confident, saving time, not adding noise.

For financiers, it’s data-driven and results-oriented, emphasizing transparency and performance.

One system, three legal voices.

DearLegal’s interface feels tangible with shadows lift, cards slot, and motion follows custom Bézier curves for smooth, human pacing. A continuous line motif runs through every page, connecting forms, illustrations, and content into one flow. The experience moves slowly and clearly, evoking relief rather than rush.

A smooth motion that ties all of the legal pieces together.
Illustrations that remain immersive.

We extended the physical-meets-digital concept online into a fast, intuitive experience layered with depth and hierarchy. Illustrations lock into place as users scroll; transitions ease with custom curves; animations stay responsive without breaking immersion. The result is a platform that feels as considered as the law itself.

A website that eases you into the legal world.

The new system unified three brands, simplified the legal journey for thousands of users, and established a credible visual standard for modern legal tech. Attorneys onboard faster, plaintiffs find representation sooner, and investors navigate opportunities with clarity. What used to feel bureaucratic now feels human.

DearLegal proves that law can be both intelligent and humane, where empathy meets efficiency. See the full experience: dearlegal.com
